Flaws: trail of tiny specks on the tail have a rough feeling, & a very hard to see scratch (horizonal above the eye area then veers faintly diagonally upward (viewable via a jeweler's loupe)--it has a skipping sort of horizontal area and then what is possibly a very tiny ding (or two?) and from there another scratch at a diagonal upward.

Josef Marcolin (1933-2015), who originallly lived and was trained as a glassblower in Murano, Italy, moved to Sweden with his brother Benito in 1954. They made beautiful blown glass/crystal sculptures, such as this one, that are known for their stunning, unique blend of Murano and Swedish style. In 1991 they moved back to Italy and continued to create for a short time under the name Sardinia Crystal. Eventually they parted and moved again, with Josef continuing to create, under the name Marcolin Art Crystal.

In Murano glass work, fine gold dust inside the glass is called gold polveri. Perhaps this term was dropped by Marcolin due to the inclusions being more notable gold flecks rather than gold dust.
